The Images of Nature Photography Exhibit is held at the Earth Discovery Center (nature center) at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, IN.

Directions: From the 56th Street Park entrance – go to the second left turn (toward the Marina). About halfway to the Marina, take the left turn marked by a sign to the Discovery Center. Follow the road to the Center.

From the 71st Street entrance, drive through the park to the first right turn. Then follow directions as above.

There is a fee (usually $5 for Marion County residents and $6 for other counties) to enter Eagle Creek Park.
Exhibit Dates: Sept 15 – Sept 30 from
9 AM – 5 PM Mon-Sat and
1 PM – 3 PM on Sun.  You will enjoy the exhibit!

SAT 8.25.18 TO 9.27.18 IWA EXHIBIT IN INDY

Meet Indiana Wildlife Artists at a local residence for our opening reception/awards at 4:30 pm on Sat 8.25.18 or come for a private tour to see Diana’s art and others’ art on Sat 9.8.18. THIS IS A CHANGE IN TIME AND PLACE! Diana’s art on display includes Delicious!, All Wrapped Up, and Mine! This is the Indiana Wildlife Artists’ 35th Annual Exhibit.

You may greet a number of the artists at the opening reception and the awards ceremony (4:30 pm) on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the private residence listed below.

Due to a mix up in scheduling, the 35th Annual Indiana WIldlife Artists’ Exhibit will NOT be open to the public until the day AFTER the reception.  Although the actual artwork will not be present, it is a wonderful opportunity to meet a number of the artists.

To view the actual artwork I am offering a private tour on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 1:30 pm at the exhibit location listed below. I would appreciate knowing if you would like to join me for the private tour.  Please RSVP.  This will give you more time to walk around the exhibit areas to enjoy the artwork and to talk with me.

Note:  Please park in the NORTH parking lot, which has the lowest elevation.  Enter the church from the lowest level.

Cannot come for the Awards Ceremony or for the private tour?  The IWA Exhibit will be on display from Sunday, August 26, 2018, through Thursday, September 27, 2018.

The 35th Annual Exhibit of the Indiana Wildlife Artists includes two and three-dimensional artwork in a variety of media and styles with a wide range of subjects. The show is judged by expert representatives for the Fine Arts and Wildlife Naturalist professions. This exhibit displays some of the finest amateur and professional artists working in the subject area of wildlife and nature in the entire State of Indiana. IWA’s goal is dedicated to preserving and promoting wildlife art as truly Fine Art. Indiana Wildlife Artists was first organized in 1982. Among its goals is the advancement of wildlife art and education about conservation of natural resources. Opening reception at 6:00 pm.  On display are Cone and Light.

These two photographs will be on exhibit in the Display Hall at the Central Library (near the historic St. Clair entrance) through the year’s end. These are part of the Central Library Centennial Photo Contest.

FRI 6/17-8/12/16 Figures of Speech Art Exhibit

A total of 14 Indiana artists and four Midwest artists (MO, IL, OH, WI) were juried into the show with a total of 31 pieces. Mediums range from oil, acrylic, and clay to stitched paper, collage, charcoal, glass, etched copper, and much more.

This juried art exhibit depicts Figures of Speech or “Sayings”.  Here are some examples of “figures of speech” that could be turned into a work of art:  “Birds of a feather flock together” and “the squeaky wheel gets the grease”.

The opening reception is from 6:00 -8:30 pm on Friday, June 17th, but sadly I cannot come. Take a look and see the other exhibits.
